Do you hear what I hear?

"Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" (James 1:19 NIV)
If you have something to say (or write), I will be "quick to listen" (or read).
You may find that I am too "slow to speak" (or write).

"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." (Revelation 2:7 NIV)
I rely on one ear (fitted with a hearing aid) to listen to you in person.
On this blog I can hear you clearly. I will also be listening to God.

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22 NIV)
The proof of the listening is in doing God's will ... otherwise it is in one ear and out the other.
